My Parents are in San Fransisco, so I decided to spend the weekend at my new home, The University of Pennsylvania.
I was there already last weekend for an overnight orientation, so I'm already getting used to it. Me with the Cross Country/Track team, going to have to start training more, probably join a running club after tennis is over. My roommate is actually an 800 runner who runs a 1:54, which for those of you who don't know is really fast for a high school student. Ill definitely have to step up the work ethics if I don't want to get toasted.
Friday I checked out the relays, then went to the gospel concert per the suggestion of the person who's room I stayed in last weekend. Though I was raised Jewish and am not really religious, I did enjoy the music, they can really sing. Especially that rock of ages song, even though its 7 minutes long and repetitive as hell it was still good.
Saturday, I went to a street fair/frat street dance party, was pretty nice, got some free food , and that's always good. After that was the step competition, was really cool, like stomp the yard but more creative and no Chris Brown. After that I witnessed a fraternity initiation rite (the Kappas), I didn't really understand why it had to be so long and boring, but I guess for the four who officially became members it was pretty sweet. Then at about 12:30 there was an after party for the step show, so I went to that until about 2:00 when it ended. People were heading over to the Kappa house and the track house for the after-after party, but I decided to call it a night and catch a cab home.
Id say that's a good weekend, I'm just going to catch up on some things today, too tired really to do anything else, maybe take some golf swings in the back yard. Ive got to work on not dipping my chin, and thusly my body, when I swing, so I need to commit it to muscle memory.
