The E.N.D.

The CD is amazing. Nothing really else to so say, you can listen for yourself.

Its ironic though, that its also the end for me too, as my summer winds down, the countdown begins until liberation.

Destination Michigan

So I spent the last five days at Eastern Michigan University in Milan. Doing what you ask? Running. USATF Youth Outdoor Track and Field Championships. 5000 and 1500

Results

Props to man Alfredo. Took a nice jog and won with a 15:05....Once again beating me by about 30 seconds.

He also got 3rd in the 1500 and I managed to get 9th as fatigue set in.

Another member of our team who will not be named here got first, but was apparently too good to register as a part of our team, and so we did not win the first place team trophy.

For some reason there arent any articles about us, but I guess thats just how it is. Hopefuly that will change by the time you read this post.

And that Redman song from Tony Hawk 3 That is stuck in my head.....

Job??? Isn't this a Recession?

Until recently I haven't really been trying to find a job. I mean I've looked hear and there, filled out a few applications, but didn't really have a sense of earnest about doing it.

That all changed last week. My parents sat me down and basically told me that times were hard, and that I was going to need that money and that I better get my ass in gear and do a serious job search. Long story short, I got a notebook, went through the phonebook and craigs list, and started calling people.

So far I've gotten offers at two places:

CVS
Find My Audition

The CVS was for that photo technician job. You know that person who looks real disinterested and bored while helping you get your photos printed? That might be me.

The second job was a little more interesting and possible much more lucrative. I actually found this one on craigslist.

Its for drumroll.....a male modeling job.

I looked at initially, and though it was a joke, but I figured Id give it a try. A phone interview and office interview later, I'm on my way for a workshop to get started. It could be bullshit and attempt to get my money, or it could not be. Its worth a try.

Heres the link for any of you interested. They do musicians and actors as well.

The Birdman Cometh

I have to give a shoutout to my man Chris Anderson. Got suspended, go his act together, and came back better than ever.

I actually watched Nuggets games this year just to see him play, even if it is for only 20 minutes (and yet he is second in the league in bpg at 2.42, but leagues the league with 5.68 blocks per 48 minutes), if he got more burn, who knows what he could do. I really like players who play with passion and intensity, so watching Anderson really is a treat, to see someone play like that day in and day out.

College

My Parents are in San Fransisco, so I decided to spend the weekend at my new home, The University of Pennsylvania.

I was there already last weekend for an overnight orientation, so I'm already getting used to it. Me with the Cross Country/Track team, going to have to start training more, probably join a running club after tennis is over. My roommate is actually an 800 runner who runs a 1:54, which for those of you who don't know is really fast for a high school student. Ill definitely have to step up the work ethics if I don't want to get toasted.

Friday I checked out the relays, then went to the gospel concert per the suggestion of the person who's room I stayed in last weekend. Though I was raised Jewish and am not really religious, I did enjoy the music, they can really sing. Especially that rock of ages song, even though its 7 minutes long and repetitive as hell it was still good.

Saturday, I went to a street fair/frat street dance party, was pretty nice, got some free food , and that's always good. After that was the step competition, was really cool, like stomp the yard but more creative and no Chris Brown. After that I witnessed a fraternity initiation rite (the Kappas), I didn't really understand why it had to be so long and boring, but I guess for the four who officially became members it was pretty sweet. Then at about 12:30 there was an after party for the step show, so I went to that until about 2:00 when it ended. People were heading over to the Kappa house and the track house for the after-after party, but I decided to call it a night and catch a cab home.

Id say that's a good weekend, I'm just going to catch up on some things today, too tired really to do anything else, maybe take some golf swings in the back yard. Ive got to work on not dipping my chin, and thusly my body, when I swing, so I need to commit it to muscle memory.

Leavin

So I'm leaving again.

This time I'm going to Nashville. Its for a big ass chess tournament, Supernationals IV only happens once every four years, its like Woodstock but for chess.

Chess in only half the fun though, its the traveling part I like. That your going somewhere on a long trip, but that when your done you wont have to go home. Like when you were a kid you always wanted the car ride to last forever, so you'd never have to get out.

Its florida after that. Grandparents need attention too, so I'll be paying them a visit. PRobably ball in the YMCA, golf If I have time, nothing that takes too much effort. If your going to be in Ocean Ridge FL over spring break let me know. Peace.
