Life Update #1

I’ve been on my grind lately. Usually I wait for some sort of inspiration for a post, but so much has happened since I last posted that I feel obligated to make one.

The first things that comes to mind is the academic aspect of my life. I've got a B in all my classes except for Philosophy, which will be an A. While that's ok, that's not what I want.

Spanish should be cake, I'm at a lower level then I should be, I just need to clean up my writing, so my professor can stop being anal and taking off points when its clear I know Spanish.

Bio I need to study smarter, that's why I'm meeting with the professor to get right from the horses mouth what I should study.

Econ had a BS midterm. Questionable wording, knew the stuff, got robbed, will do better next time. Met with the good Dr. Speigel, he’s going to give me back some points.

Went out on Thirsty Thursday for the first time, was pretty nice, if Ive got the time and can spare the rest, Ill go again….and again. Weekend partying is always nice.

My body has been sore a lot though. Guess that's track for you. And 70 miles a week. I've got to remember to keep taking that ZMA (Muscle Recovery Supplement). Gotta go hard.

And so Ill leave you with this video I'm watching of a song I haven't heard in too long.

My Man Too Nice

My Man Fredo

Someone want to explain to me why he's so nice?

That my training partner and friendly rival (though its not much of a rivalry at this point because he has about 20 secs on me in the 5000. Give me a year or two and I got him.)

The article does most of the talking, but just know there's nothing stopping him, so next time your in a race, no need to turn around, just know he's right behind you.

The Once and Future King

The Once and Future King

There is Brett Favre (The Once) and Aaron Rodger (The Future). Kings of the Game.

One is an aging almost-40-year-old QB with something left in a once dominant arm. The other is a 25 year old rising star with a cannon for an arm.

For one night none of that mattered.

Both QB’s played excellently, though the latter was let down by a porous offensive line and a crucial endzone dropped pass.

Regardless is was beautiful to watch.

Who’s ready for round two?

Got Crack???

Its crazy. I need to go in rehab. Me being on Facebook is out of control. Now that I have a laptop and don't really do much of anything other than study, run, sleep, and hangout, my other four hours of day are usually spent snorting that online cocaine. Its not even that I spend time looking at Facebook profiles, its just that since they made Facebook chat the allure to talk to all those people I never talked to before it too much. I mean I still get my work done, still go to practice, still go out and chill with people, its just now I talk to them online, usually while doing something else eg. making dinner, talking on the phone. I even talk to people who I:

1. Just talked to in person. Or am still talking to, because they are sitting right next to me.

2. I just talked to on the phone/am still talking to on the phone

3. Am in the middle of texting

4. Am going to hang chill with later, but just feel like talking to anyways

FacebookChat will never replace person to person talking, or even video chat however. And no, you should not be on Facebook ever on a Friday or Saturday night, because you should be out with people.

For all you adicts out there, welcome to rehab

Shooting yourself in the leg to spite your face???!!

How do you like that ironic twist on an old saying. Well I know he doesn't:

Former Super Bowl star Plaxico Burress(notes) carries his son, Elijah, as he arrives at Manhattan criminal court for his sentencing ,Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, in New York. Burress was sentenced to two years in prison for possessing a gun at a night club.

My man shot himself and got more jail time than Donte Stallworth who killed a man, albeit when he was crossing a highway while drunk. Plus Plax is a better receiver, so you'd think he’d get less time. Not the case, I guess that's what happens when you carry a concealed weapon in Manhattan. Should have just done it in Brooklyn. This really is sad, even though he wriggled out of the minimum 3.5 years, it goes to show that you really do need to think before you act.

LMFAO

Word to my man Keenan

They have really taken this joke to far. Be warned; if I see you in one of these I'm gonna have to break out the white paint and lighters. These can never be worn. Ever. Don't even think about it.

Yeezy makes a “Swift” Exit

Yeah so he may have been right, may have been drunk, but that was still classless. Not that bad, but classless. Needs self control. Enough Said.
